Philippe Velge works with the INRA (Institut National de Recherche Agronomique), Tours Nouzilly, UR 1282, Infectiologie Animale et Santé Publique (Animal infectious diseases and veterinary public health) and is the Head of the team “Signalisation, Portage et Virulence bactérienne” (Signalling, carriage and bacterial virulence). Velge is the Deputy Director IFR136 "Agents transmissible et Infectiologie" (transmissible agents and infectious diseases). Velge has an M.S. degree in biochemistry and did the Doctoral thesis in immunoparasitology at the Pasteur Institute of Lille in the unit of Pr. Capron André. Velge works on host-bacteria interactions.
