Federico Fraschetti

Commissariat à l'Énergie Atomique, France

Federico Fraschetti was born in Rome, Italy, in 1976. He obtained his Ph.D. degree from the Sapienza - University of Rome/ University of Trento, in 2004, in high-energy astrophysics with the title "models and numerical simulations of gamma-ray bursts." In 2005, Fraschetti worked at Astronomical Observatory of Brera, Milan, Italy, within the Swift Team. From 2006 to 2008, he worked at CEA Saclay (France), on cosmic-ray acceleration in supernova remnant. In 2008/2009, Fraschetti worked in Paris Observatory (France) on N-body numerical simulations in cosmology. In 2009, he joined the Department of Planetary Science and Astronomy at the University of Arizona, Tucson, Ariz, USA, where he currently works. Fraschetti also enrolled in the Theoretical Astrophysics Program. He is especially interested in theoretical understanding of transport and acceleration of cosmic rays, magnetic turbulence, and ultrahigh-energy cosmic rays. He serves as a peer-reviewer at several international journals. Fraschetti has been a member of several conferences and science committees.
