José María Sayagués is a Ph.D. Fellow at the Department of Medicine and Cancer Research Center at Salamanca University, Spain. He finished his Ph.D. degree at the University Hospital of Salamanca, Salamanca, Spain, in 2005, on the basis of the analysis of the frequency of numerical/structural chromosomal abnormalities in meningioma tumors and its correlation with the baseline clinic-biologic characteristics and patients’ outcome. At the present, his research interests are mainly focused on the field of the molecular cytogenetics in cancer, particularly on the study of genetic aberrations using novel genetic tools in both solid and hematological malignancies.
