Tadeusz Robak is a Professor of hematology at the Medical University of Lodz, Poland. Professor Robak studied medicine at this institution and after graduation in 1973 went on to specialize in internal medicine, clinical pharmacology and hematology at the Copernicus Memorial Hospital in Lodz. He undertook further postgraduate training at Hammersmith Hospital, London, in 1983 and 1984. He currently holds the posts of Professor of hematology at the Medical University of Lodz and the Chief of Department of Hematology at the Copernicus Memorial Hospital in Lodz. Professor Robak is an Editor-in-Chief of Acta Haematologica Polonica and the Member of the Editorial Board of the Leukemia & Lymphoma, Current Medicinal Chemistry, The Open Journal of Leukemia, Current Signal Transduction Therapy, and other journals. He is a Reviewer for numerous journals including Blood, Lancet Oncology, Leukemia, Leukaemia and Lymphoma, Drugs, Drugs and Aging, BioDrugs, European Journal of Haematology, and the American Journal of Cancer and other journals. Professor Robak is a Member of the European Hematology Association and the American Society for Hematology. The particular research emphasis has been on the application of purine analogs and monoclonal antibodies in the treatment of leukemia and lymphoma and interactions of antineoplastic agents. His research has been published in Journal of Clinical Oncology, Cancer, Blood, Leukemia, the European Journal of Hematology, the British Journal of Hematology, Leukemia and Lymphoma, Leukemia Research, Annals of Hematology, Haematologica, Hematology Journal, the European Journal of Cancer, Current Cancer Drug Targets, and several other journals. Professor Robak published more than 500 journal articles, 350 abstracts, and 15 books or chapters.
