Satoshi Ohno received his M.D. and Ph.D. degrees (majoring in Oncology) from Shimane Medical University, Izumo, Japan. Dr. Ohno worked at the Department of Surgery, Shimane Medical Univesity (1998–2002); the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (specializing in gynecological cancer), Kanazawa University (2002–2005, 2006-2009); the Department of Cancer Immunotherapy, Osaka University (2005-2006); the Institute of Gastroenterology, Tokyo Women’s Medical University (2009–2012). He serves as an Associate Professor, Consolidated Research Institute for Advanced Science and Medical Care, Waseda University (ASMeW) since 2009; part-time Lecturer, Department of Chemotherapy & Palliative Care, Tokyo Women's Medical University since 2012. His research interests include translational research for WT1 peptide immunotherapy, tumor pathology, and complementary and alternative medicine for cancer (functional foods, etc.). Dr. Ohno is also a Member of the Japan Surgical Society, the Japanese Cancer Association, the Japan Society of Clinical Oncology, and the Japanese Society for Palliative Medicine.
