M. Ahmad Chaudhry
M. Ahmad Chaudhry serves as the Associate Dean for Research and an Associate Professor of Medical Laboratory and Radiation Sciences in the University of Vermont College of Nursing and Health Sciences. He received the Ph.D. degree in molecular biology from the University of Manchester, UK, and completed postdoctoral research work at the University of Alberta, Canada. His research focuses on the link between radiation exposure and cancer and specifically on micro-RNA responses to radiation exposure, radiation-induced bystander effect, cell-cycle perturbations, and the enzymatic processing of clustered DNA damage. He joined the UVM College of Medicine as the Director of the Microarray Facility and as a Research Assistant Professor of microbiology and molecular genetics in 2002 and then joined the College of Nursing and Health Sciences Faculty in 2004.
