Yuanlin Song serves currently as a Researcher and a Professor appointed by Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, Zhongshan Hospital, Fudan University, Shanghai, China. He graduated from the Shanghai Medical University in 1994 and received postdoctoral training at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), San Francisco, Calif, USA. He was appointed as an Assistant Researcher at the UCSF in 2003 and as Associate Researcher later in 2009. He has been working on acute lung injury, lung edema, ion and fluid transport in the lungs, airway submucosal gland, and P. aeruginosa for more than 15 years. He has published more than 70 papers and coauthored 2 text books. Dr. Song also holds 3 patents. He serves currently as a Committee Member of Respiratory Cell and Molecular Biology (RCMB) of ATS. He also serves as an Editor of the World Journal of Emergency Medicine, Respirology, and Chinese Journal of Emergency Medicine and as an Ad Hoc Reviewer for Anesthesiology, American Journal of Physiology, Inflammation Research, and Clinical and Experimental Physiology and Pharmacology.
