Dong Ha Kim

Dong Ha Kim received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees from the Seoul National University, Seoul, Republic of Korea. He carried out his postdoctoral research activities at the Polymer Science and Engineering Department at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, MA, USA, (from 2000 to 2003) and at the Materials Science Department at the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research, Mainz, Germany (from 2003 to 2005). After postdoctoral work, he joined Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, in the Memory Division of Semiconductor Research & Development Center as a Senior Scientist. Then, he moved to Ewha Womans University, Seoul, Republic of Korea, in 2006 and assumed a Faculty position. Currently, he serves as an Associate Professor at the Department of Chemistry and Nanoscience, College of Natural Sciences, Seoul, Republic of Korea. His research interests include fabrication of multifunctional hybrid nanostructures for applications in energy storage and conversion, environmental remediation, memory devices, display devices, and biosensing. Surface Plasmon resonance-mediated biosensing, photovoltaics, light emission, and photocatalysis are also his lasting interests. He has authored or coauthored 81 scientific publications and holds 26 issued Korean patents (8 registered) and 2 PCT patents.
