Changqiao Xu received his Ph.D. degree in computer applied technology from the Institute of Software, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ISCAS), Beijing, China, in 2009. Xu works as a Professor and Vice-Director of the Next Generation Internet Technology Research Center at Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT). He served as an Assistant Research Fellow at ISCAS from 2002 to 2007, where he was a Research and Development Project Manager in the area communication networks. During 2007‐2009, he worked as a Researcher at the Dublin City University and Athlone Institute of Technology, Ireland. His research interests include computer networks, multimedia communications, wireless networking, network security, and next generation Internet technology. He has published more than 100 technical papers in prestigious international journals including IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, and IEEE Transactions on Broadcasting and in well-known conferences such as ACM Multimedia, IEEE ICC, GLOBECOM, and ICME. He served as a TPC Chair of IEEE ICC’14 MCS workshop, Cochair of IEEE IWCMC’14 Multimedia over Wireless Symposium, Organizing Committee Cochair of IET AIAI’11, TPC of IEEE ICC, GLOBECOM, and so on. He currently serves as a Board Member of IEEE MMTC Services and Publicity.
