Yasuji Matsuoka

Dr. Matsuoka is a Research Manager in Neural Pathways Discovery Performance Unit at GlaxoSmithKline in Singapore. He received PharmD and PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences (Neurobiology) for studies carried out at Kyoto Pharmaceutical Universities in Kyoto, Japan. He completed post-doctoral fellowship in Alzheimer’s disease at New York University School of Medicine and Nathan Kline Institute. He led a NIH-funded laboratory at NYU and Georgetown University Medical Center. In 2008, he joined GlaxoSmithKline. His works are focused in discovery and development of therapeutic approaches and agents for neurodegenerative diseases. He published over 70 manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals and served as a reviewer for various scientific journals and funding agencies.
