Alexander Korotkov

Alexander Korotkov was born in 1961, St. Petersburg, Russia. He received the Dipl. Eng. degree in electronics, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering in 1984 and 1991, respectively, both from St. Petersburg Technical University, and the Dr.Sc. (advanced) degree in electrical engineering in 2000, from St. Petersburg University of Communications. Dr. Korotkov is presently a Professor of the Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications Department, Vice Dean of Radiophysical Science and Engineering Faculty, Vice Chair of the International Department of St. Petersburg Polytechnical University. In 1995, Dr. Korotkov was awarded a research fellowship by DAAD and worked at Erlangen-Nuremberg University, Germany. For 1997–1999 his work was granted by Volkswagen Stiftung and for 2001–2003 by DFG. During these periods he has worked as a Visiting Researcher at Fraunhofer Institute, Department of Integrated Circuits, Germany. Dr. Korotkov has served as a Visiting Professor in Ylivieska Polytechnic, Finland, in autumn 2002 and winters of 2005 and 2007. Dr. Korotkov has published more than 100 papers, textbooks, and technical reports. He is authored the book entitled Microelectronic Analog Filters based on impedance converters, St. Petersburg: Science, 1999, in Russian. His research interests are in areas of circuits and systems for wireless communications, integrated circuits theory and design, integrated circuits computer simulation. Dr. Korotkov was an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems, Pt II, 2003–2005. Dr. Korotkov is a Chair of the IEEE CAS Chapter, St. Petersburg.
