Yoichi Nakagawa was born in Japan, in 1955. He received the D.D.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the Tsurumi University School of Dental Medicine, Yokohama, Japan, in 1980 and 1986, respectively. Since 1980, he has been a Member of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Tsurumi University, where he is currently an Assistant Professor. From 1990 to 1993, he was worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Oral Biology at the University of Florida. His interests include the management of dry mouth and oral candidiasis. He is currently a Chairman of the committee for establishment of the response evaluation criteria of antifungal therapy for oral candidiasis, Japanese Society of Oral Therapeutics and Pharmacology.
