Ritesh Agarwal was born and educated in Chennai (India). He completed his medical school (M.B.B.S degree) in 1998 from the Stanley Medical College and joined the Residency Program in internal medicine at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh in 1998. Subsequently, he completed his fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine from the same institute in 2004. He is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Pulmonary Medicine at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh, India. His primary research area is allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis. He also maintains keen interest in interventional pulmonology, pleural disorders, invasive and noninvasive ventilation, and meta-analysis. Dr. Agarwal is a Fellow of the Indian Chest Society and American College of Chest Physicians. He is also the Associate Editor of the World Journal of Radiology.
