Maura Pellei was born in Ascoli Piceno (Italy) on February 10, 1969. In February 1993, she graduated in biological science at the University of l’Aquila, with full marks and honor. In February 2003, she graduated in chemistry at the University of Camerino, with full marks and honor. On February 19, 2010, she received the Ph.D. degree in chemical sciences at the School of Advanced Studies of the University of Camerino. In 1993, she attended an apprenticeship in the Chemistry Department at the University of l’Aquila; in 1994 ,she worked on a research project in asymmetric synthesis at the Department of Chemistry of the University of l’Aquila, being recipient of a fellowship from CNR. From 1994 to 2010, she was a Technical Assistant to Research Activity at the University of Camerino. Since 2007, she has been a Lecturer in general chemistry, at the University of Camerino for the courses of General and Inorganic Chemistry and Chemical Basis of Life I. Since December 2010, she has been a Researcher of general and inorganic chemistry at the UNICAM. Actually, she had teaching appointments in general and inorganic chemistry and laboratory and bioinorganic chemistry. She is a Member of the examination committee of 12 courses at UNICAM. Since February 2008, she has been “Delegate of the Rector of the University of Camerino for Life Long Learning.” Since January 1, 1995, she has been working in the Inorganic Chemistry Research Group of the University of Camerino. She is the coauthor of 94 papers (81 ISI papers) published on international journals (6 invited reviews among these), 2 patents, and 140 presentations at scientific meetings or proceedings (h-index = 22). She was a Guest Editor of the a special issue of Current Bioactive Compounds (2009, issue 5).
