Carlo Visco holds an M.D. degree and completed a specialization in hematology since 2002. Since February 2003, he serves as a Consultant in the Department of Hematology and Cell Therapy, San Bortolo Hospital, Vicenza, Italy. His areas of expertise include non-Hodgkin's lymphoma biology and treatment (especially diffuse large-B cell lymphoma and mantle cell lymphoma), chronic lymphocytic leukemia biology and treatment, and autoimmune disease related to hematological malignancies. Since 2012 Visco is part of the Editorial Board of Case Reports in Immunology, an open access, peer-reviewed journal. Since 2011 he is part of the Aggressive Lymphomas Committee of the Italian Lymphoma Foundation (FIL). In 2010 he served as an Honorable Visiting Physician in the Department of Pathology, Carbone Cancer Center, University of Wisconsin-Madison, Madison, Wis, USA. From 2000 to 2001 Visco completed a clinical and laboratory fellowship in Lymphoma/Myeloma Department, MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas, USA.
