Marília Gerhardt de Oliveira
Marília G. de Oliveira earned her B.D.S. degree in dentistry from Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, Porto Alegre, RS, Brazil, in 1981. She finished her specialization studies in 1982 and earned her M.S. degree in 1983, in the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery and traumatology from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS), Porto Alegre, RS, Brazil. She also received a Ph.D. degree in dentistry (clinical stomatology) from PUCRS in 1992. She is a Senior Lecturer at the Center for Technological Education and Health Research (GHC) and also works as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and Traumatologist at Grupo Hospitalar Conceição (GHC) located in Porto Alegre, RS, Brazil. She has a large experience in dental research, with a special focus on clinical stomatology and oral and maxillofacial surgery and traumatology. She is currently involved in research projects addressing the following topics: implants and biomaterials, lasers, distraction osteogenesis, applied diagnosis and treatment, craniometry, bioprototyping, and nanobiotechnology.
