Hector M. Conesa graduated as an Agricultural Engineer from the Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena, Cartagena, Murcia, Spain, and developed his Ph.D. degree in 2005 at the Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena, Cartagena, Murcia, Spain, and at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology of Zurich (ETH-Zurich), Zurich, Switzerland. Afterwards, he worked as a Postdoc for four years at the ETH-Zurich and for one year as an Environmental Engineer at the Befesa Gestión de Residuos Industriales, Seville, Spain. He is a Soil Scientist at the Agricultural Technology and Science Department, Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena, Spain. His research has focused on soil contamination and remediation including the development of green technologies and the study of soil-plant relationships in polluted semiarid areas.
