Mohamed H Ahmed

Mohamed H. Ahmed is currently working in general medicine at James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough, UK. He obtained his Ph.D. degree from The University of Manchester, Manchester, UK. Ahmed did his postdoctoral research fellowship at University of Birmingham, Birmingham, UK. During his Specialist Registrar Training at University Hospital Southampton, UK, Ahmed developed special researches and clinical expertise in the fields of diabetes, obesity, lipid, and fatty liver. He has published extensively in the area of diabetes, obesity, lipid, and fatty liver. His main research interests are in nonalcoholic fatty liver and renal function. Ahmed has reviewed grants for major research funding bodies. Currently, he serves as a Member of the Editorial Board of World Journal of Gastroenterology.
