John W. Rabalais

John Wayne Rabalais works as a Distinguished Professor at the Department of Chemistry and Physics, Lamar University. He achieved his B.S. degree in chemistry and mathematics (1962–1966) and his Ph.D. degree (1966–1970) from Louisiana State University. His fields of research include instrument design, surface science, ion beams, physical chemistry, atomic force microscopy, Fourier transform infrared microscopy, UV and X-ray photoelectron and auger spectroscopy, ion scattering and recoiling spectrometry, film deposition using ion beams, secondary ion mass spectrometry, surface reactions, chemisorption, sputtering, and forensic chemistry. He has more than 350 scientific publications in refereed journals.
