Eli Carmeli graduated as a Physical Therapist at Wingate Institute, 1980. He worked as a Clinician for 7 years in an acute/subacute medical center and an outpatient clinic. He completed the Ph.D. studies at Technion, Faculty of Medicine, Haifa, Israel, 1993. Since 1998, he holds a full time position at the Department of Physical Therapy, School oh Health Professions, Sackler Faculty of Medicine, Tel Aviv University, Israel. He became an Associate Professor since 2008. His research interests are aging, intellectual disability, and molecular biology of skeletal muscle. He serves on the review boards of several journals and published over 100 articles in referee journals, mostly in the English language, and he orally presented over 50 times in international scientific conferences.
