Erhan Akdoğan received the B.S. degree in electronics and communication engineering from Yildiz Technical University, in 1999, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Marmara University, Istanbul, Turkey, in 2001 and 2007, respectively. From 2008 to 2009, he was a Visiting Researcher at Hiroshima University Graduate School of Engineering, Biological Systems Engineering Laboratory, Japan. Akdoğan is currently an Assistant Professor at the Mechatronics Engineering Department, Yildiz Technical University, Istanbul, Turkey. His research interests are biomechatronics system design, biological cybernetics, rehabilitation robotics, impedance control, and biological signal processing.
