Gabi Drochioiu

Gabi Drochioiu was born in Unteni-Botosani, Romania, in 1954. He received a degree in chemistry from the Polytechnic Institute of Iasi, Faculty of Chemistry, in 1978, and the Ph.D. degree from the Al. I. Cuza University of Iasi, Romania, in 1997. Since then, he served as a Chemist at CCH Suceava (1978-1980), as a Biochemist at the Agricultural Research Station of Suceava (till 1990) and at the Suceava Genebank (1990-1997). Currently, he works as a Professor at the Faculty of Chemistry, Al. I. Cuza University of Iasi, teaching biochemistry and toxicology. His areas of interests include analytical biochemistry, analytical toxicology, pesticides, organic syntheses, and bioenergetics, being specialized in MS, CD, FT-IR, and NMR. He (co)authored 4 patents, 146 original papers, 4 books, and over 20 conferences papers.
