Scott M. Whitcup0000-0003-1892-719X
S. M. Whitcup was graduated from Cornell University Medical College. He completed residency training in internal medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles, USA and in ophthalmology at Harvard University, as well as fellowship training in uveitis and ocular immunology at the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Whitcup served as the Clinical Director of the National Eye Institute at the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Whitcup's leadership was vital in building the clinical research program and developing new therapies for ophthalmic diseases. In 2000, he joined Allergan, and since July 2004, he has been an Executive Vice President in research and development. In April 2009, he achieved the position of Chief Scientific Officer. Furthermore, Dr. Whitcup is a Faculty Member at the Jules Stein Eye Institute/David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles, USA.
