M. Tlidi

M. Tlidi was born in Morocco. He received the M.D. and Ph.D. degrees in physics from Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB), Brussels, Belgium, in 1989 and 1995, respectively. From 1995 to 2002, he held a temporary position at the Faculty of Science, ULB. Since October 2002, he has held a tenured position at the Belgian National Science Foundation. His research is focused on diffractive nonlinear optics, space-time instabilities in nonlinear optics, pattern formation, localized structures, photonic crystals fibre ring cavities, domain growth in nonlinear optics, negative refractive index material, and plant ecology. He is currently teaching nonlinear optics and quantum otpics at the Faculty of Science of ULB. He is a Member of the Optica Society of America, and an Associate Editor of Advances in Nonlinear Optics.
