George Melika

George Melika works as the Head of the Central Plant Pest Diagnostic Laboratory, Hungarian National Food Chain Safety Office, Budapest, Hungary. He received his Ph.D. degree from the Institute of Zoology of the National Academy of Sciences, Kiev, Ukraine, in 1991; his D.S. degree from the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (biology, zoology), in 2008. His research fields include taxonomy and phylogeny of Cynipidae, parasitoid assemblages of galls and leaf miners, Dryocosmus kuriphilus in Europe and its parasitoid complex, biological control and parasitoids.
