Vassili N. Kouvelis

Vassili N. Kouvelis is a Lecturer of genetics and biotechnology at the Faculty of Biology, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Athens, Greece. He received the Ph.D. degree in microbial genetics and biotechnology with Professor Milton A. Typas at the University of Athens, Greece (2002), and had a postdoctoral training working in several research programmes (e.g., the European Union funded research program entitled “Risk Assessment of Fungal Biological Control Agents—RAFBCA” (2002–2005)). His main expertise is on molecular microbial genetics with an emphasis to microorganisms of biotechnological importance.
