Ruixin Zhang

Ruixin Zhang is an Assistant Professor of family medicine, Center for Integrative Medicine, School of Medicine, University of Maryland at Baltimore and was born in China in 1963. He received his M.D. and Ph.D degrees from Shanxi Medical University, Taiyuan, China, in 1984 and 1991, respectively, and postdoctoral training at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and Yale University. He is a specialist in mechanisms of acupuncture in chronic pain and also a Principal or Coinvestigator on a number of acupuncture preclinical studies funded by NIH. Zhang is an Editorial Board Member of the Open Anesthesiology Journal and the Open Pain Journal and an Ad Hoc Reviewer for more than 20 journals.
