Reinout Kleinhans acts as a Senior Researcher and an Assistant Professor of the urban renewal at the Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands. His research interests are urban regeneration, gentrification, residential mobility, social mix, collective efficacy, disorder, and empowerment. His Ph.D. thesis (2005) was on the social implications of urban restructuring. He has widely published in scientific and practitioner magazines. Currently, he is studying experiments with the Dutch Community Enterprises and long-term social mobility. Apart from doing research, he is teaching policy and management for the M.S. students at the Faculty of Technology, the Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands. Previously, he worked as a Research Fellow at the Erasmus University Rotterdam. Bridging the gap between scientific research and practice has his continuing attention.
