Tai-hoon Kim

Tai Hoon Kim received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrics, electronics, and computer engineering from the Sungkyunkwan University, Korea. Then he got his second Ph.D. degree in computer science from Bristol University, UK. After working with the Technical Institute of Shindoricoh for two years as a Researcher and working at Korea Information Security Agency as a Senior Researcher for two years and six months, he worked at the Defense Security Command (DSC) for about 2 years. After working with Ewha Woman University for a half year as a Research Professor, now Kim is currently a Professor of Hannam University. He wrote sixteen books about the software development, such as Linux, Windows 2000, and computer hacking and security. Also, he published about 200 papers by 2010. He is a Member of IEEE, ACM, KIIT, and SERSC. Currently he is a Vice Chair of the Science and Engineering Research Support Society (SERSC). Kim researched security engineering, the evaluation of information security products or systems with common criteria, process improvement for security enhancement, and some approaches and methods making IT systems more secure. In these days, his research interests include biometric authentication, pattern recognition, security, and medical imaging.
