Hong-Seop Kho works as a Professor at the Department of Oral Medicine and Oral Diagnosis, School of Dentistry, Seoul National University (SNU), Seoul, South Korea. He received his D.D.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the SNU, Seoul, South Korea, in 1988 and 1996, respectively. Dr. Kho also completed a Residentship in oral medicine and received a certificate in oral medicine practice in 1991. In addition, he had a Clinical Fellowship in oral medicine from 1994 to 1996. Dr. Kho worked as a Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Oral Biology, School of Dental Medicine, State University of New York at Buffalo from 1996 to 1998. Furthermore, he has been involved in research focusing on the protective function of salivary proteins and glycoproteins in the oral cavity and the development of effective antimicrobial agents and saliva substitutes for the patients with dry mouth. He practices full-time in TMD and chronic orofacial pain, oral mucosal diseases, dry mouth, and its related conditions. Kho is an active Member of Asian Academy of Craniomandibular Disorders (AACMD) and Korea Academy of Orofacial Pain and Oral Medicine. He is also an Editor-in-Chief of Korean Journal of Oral Medicine.
