Laurel R. Fisher
Laurel R. Fisher serves as a board certified gastroenterologist and the Director of the Capsule Endoscopy and Device Assisted Enteroscopy Program at the University of Michigan Hospital and Health Systems in Ann Arbor, Mich, USA. She received her M.D. degree from the Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pa, USA, and completed her Residency and Fellowship training in Gastroenterology at the University of Michigan Hospitals. Her primary interests include the diagnosis and treatment of small bowel conditions, including obscure GI bleeding and inflammatory and neoplastic processes, and the development and application of new technologies for visualization and detection of small intestinal lesions. Dr. Fisher holds Leadership positions in several American GI societies such as the ASGE and the AGA.
