User Biography : Prof Enrique Ortega-Rivas User Biography : Prof Enrique Ortega-Rivas Enrique Ortega-Rivas holds an M.S. degree in food process engineering from University of Reading, Reading, UK, and a Ph.D. degree in chemical engineering from University of Bradford, Yorkshire, UK. He currently works as a Professor at the Autonomous University of Chihuahua, Chihuahua, México, and has held a visiting Scientist Appointment at Food Science Australia and a Visiting Lectureship at Monash University, Melbourne, Australia. He was also a Fulbright Scholar, acting as Adjunct Associate Professor, at Washington State University, Pullman, Wash, USA. He has been awarded the status of National Researcher, maximum recognition that the Mexican government confers on academics based on their research achievements. His research interests include food engineering, powder technology, and solid-fluid separation techniques. Ortega-Rivas has served in many committees for international scientific events and performed peer reviews for national and international research funding organizations. He has also published numerous papers in international indexed journals, apart from chapters in books and contributions in encyclopedias. He is coauthor of the book Food Powders: Physical Properties, Processing, and Functionality published by Springer and Editor of the book Processing Effects on Safety and Quality of Foods published by CRC Taylor and Francis. He is a Member of the Editorial Boards of Food and Bioprocess Technology, an international journal, Food Engineering Reviews, and The Open Food Science Journal. He reviews manuscripts for different international journals.
