Debajyoti Mukhopadhyay is the Dean (research and development) of MIT Group of Institutions and Head of information technology at Maharashtra Institute of Technology Pune. During 1982-1994 and in 1999, Dr. Mukhopadhyay was in the USA. He had earlier worked at Bell Communications Research, USA, in its Computing Systems and Architecture Lab. He has authored nearly 100 articles in international refereed journals, conference proceedings, and research reports. He has been serving on several program committees of international conferences across the world and is on the Editorial Board of six international journals. Dr. Mukhopadhyay holds a B.E. degree (electronics) from Calcutta University (India), a D.C.S. degree (computer science and applications) from The Queen's University of Belfast (UK), an M.S. degree (computer science) from Stevens Institute of Technology (USA), and a Ph.D. degree (computer science) from Jadavpur University (India). He is F.I.E., F.I.E.T.E., S.M.I.E.E.E., S.M.A.C.M., S.M.C.S.I., C.Engg., and M.I.M.A.
