C. Muriel received a B.S. degree in mathematics from the Universidad de Salamanca Spain (1990–1995), an M.A. degree from the Universidad de Cádiz, Spain (October, 1996), and a Ph.D. degree in mathematics from the Universidad de Salamanca, Spain (March, 2000). Her research lines include the study of differential equations through symmetry: reduction methods of differential equations with symmetries, development of the theory of lambda-symmetries and applications to order reductions, linearization problems, variational problems, search of first integrals and integrating factors, classification of equations through lambda-symmetries, and algorithms to find explicit analytical solutions.
