José de Jesús Rubio received his B.S. degree from the ESIME Zacatenco, Instituto Politécnico Nacional, Mexico City, DF, Mexico, in 2001. He received his M.S. degree in 2004 and his Ph.D. degree in 2007 both in automatic control from the CINVESTAV, IPN, Mexico City, DF, Mexico. He worked as a Full-Time Professor at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, Tlalpan, DF, Mexico, from 2006 to 2008. Since 2008, he has been working as a Full-Time Professor at the Instituto Politécnico Nacional, ESIME Azcapotzalco, Mexico City, DF, Mexico. He (co)authored 62 papers in several international journals, 1 international book, 8 book chapters, and 27 papers in international conferences with 386 independent citations. He serves as a Member of the IEEE AFS Adaptive Fuzzy Systems. He is a Member of the editorial board of the journal titled Evolving Systems. He has worked as the tutor of 3 Ph.D. students, 26 M.S. students, 4 S. students, and 16 B.S. students. His research interests are primarily focused on evolving intelligent systems, intelligent control, nonlinear control, adaptive control, sliding mode control, optimal control, neural fuzzy systems, Kalman filter, least-square bounded ellipsoid, delayed systems, dynamic modeling, analytic modeling, collisions detector, trajectory generator, pattern recognition, identification and prediction, image processing, robotic, mechatronic, medic, automotive, and alternative energy, signal processing, greenhouse, incubators, warehouses, and chemical reactors.
