Xianglong Meng

Xianglong Meng was born in Mingshui county, Heilongjiang province, China, in 1977. He received the Ph.D. degree from the Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), Harbin, China, in 2004. From 2001 to 2002, he was a Research Assistant at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. From 2006 to 2009, Meng was a Postdoc of the Center of Actuator at the National Institute for Materials Science (Japan). Presently, he is an Associate Professor of Harbin Institute of Technology, China. He is mainly interested in smart materials: shape memory alloys and thin films, martensitic transformation, and smart structures. In 2009, he was supported by the Program for New Century Excellent Talents of the university (NCET, China).
