Michael Gaetz
Dr. Michael Gaetz has over 15 years of research and practical experience related to the assessment and management of mild traumatic brain injury and concussion in sport. He has published extensively on the cumulative effects of sport concussion. He is one of few researchers that published an empirically derived concussion management strategy. He has also published on retention of information learned during first aid certifications. Since joining UFV in 2003, he has been the Director of the UFV Concussion Management Program, a clinical research program that provides an assessment and management service to community athletes as well as developing innovative techniques and procedures.
