Roberto Cirocchi was born in 1966. In 1991, he obtained the B.S. degree in medicine and surgery at the University of Perugia, Perugia, Italy. In 1999, he obtained the Diploma of the School of Specialization in General Surgery at the University of Perugia. In 2003, he received the Ph.D. degree in advanced technologies in surgery at the University La Sapienza in Rome, and in 2006, he received the Ph.D. degree in experimental methods in gastroenterological surgery at the University of Perugia. From 2000 to 2006, he was a General Surgeon at the Hospital of Cagli (Italy). Since 2007, he is an Aggregate Professor of general surgery at the University of Perugia (Italy). His scientific research is in phlebology, experimental methods in gastroenterological surgery, surgical and radiological sciences, and biotechnology and medicine and cardiovascular surgery.
