Hai Guo earned his Ph.D. degree in air quality in Australia. He did his postdoctoral research at New York University, University of California at Irvine (Nobel laureate group), and Queensland University of Technology. He serves currently as a Professor at the Department of Civil and Structural Engineering of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. His major research interests include atmospheric chemistry, regional and urban air pollution, source apportionment, photochemistry, acidic ultrafine particles, and new particle formation. In 2004, he received The Gary Comer Abrupt Climate Change Fellowship. He works as the Vice Chair of the Asian Steering Committee of the 10th International Conference on Healthy Buildings.
