Zhongdao Wu graduated from the School of Health, Nanchang University (China) in 1982, and then was a Research Fellow at the Jiangxi Provincial Institute of Parasitic Diseases. He received an M.S. degree in parasitology at Jiangxi Medical College (China) in 1992 and got a Ph.D. degree in pathogen biology from Nanjing Medical University (China) in 1997. From 1997 to 1999, he was a Postdoctorial Fellow at Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences (China). He was also a Visiting Fellow at the Department of Tropical Medicine, School of Public Health, Harvard University (USA), from 1992 to 1993. Since 2001, he has been Professor of Parasitology at Zhongshan School of Medicine, Sun Yat-sen University, and has been working on basic researches for parasitic infection, including schistosomiasis as well as angiostrongyliasis. In 2009, as Principal investigator he got a grant from the Chinese National “973 project" entitled Modulation of Inflammation in Eosinophilic Meningitis Caused by Angiostrongylus Cantonensis.
