Florence E. Perrin

Florence E. Perrin got his Ph.D. degree in neurosciences from University of Basel, Basel, Switzerland. He is currently a Professor in University of Montpellier, France, and INSERM U 1051, Institute for Neuroscience of Montpellier. Between 2009 and 2012, he was Research Professor at University of the Basque Country, Bilbao, Spain, and IKERBASQUE, Basque Foundation for Science, Spain. In 2011, he was Research Director, CNRS, Montpellier, France. He investigates molecular mechanisms that underlie neurodegeneration processes in the context of spinal cord pathologies. He is particularly interested in two pathologies with no current therapies, that is, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and spinal cord injury (SCI).
