Andrea Carmine Belin
Andrea Carmine Belin serves as an associate professor. Since 2011, he has been serving as a Fulltime Permanent Assistant Professor and Group Leader at the Department of Neuroscience, Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm, Sweden. From 2004 to 2010, Belin worked in a postdoctoral position at the Department of Neuroscience, Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm, Sweden. In 2003, he received a Doctoral degree from the Department of Neuroscience, Karolinska Institutet entitled "on Parkinson’s disease and schizophrenia – case control studies, cellular localization and modelling of candidate genes." Belin's areas of expertise include sequencing, genotyping, complex disease genetics, and molecular biology. His main duties are the identification, characterization, and modeling of genetic variants in candidate genes for neurological disorders with a focus on Parkinson’s disease.
