Xian-He Bu

Xian-He Bu was born in 1964 in China. He studied in Nankai University, Tianjin, China, and received his B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in 1986 and 1992, respectively, under the direction of Professor Yun-Ti Chen. He received another Ph.D. degree in pharmaceutical science at Hiroshima University in 1995 under the supervision of Professor Eiichi Kimura. He has worked as a Visiting Scientist at IMS and Tokyo University with Professor M. Shionoya and also at Kyoto University with Professor S. Kitagawa. He is now a Full Professor (Chang-Jiang Scholar) at Nankai University and serves as the Head of the Department of Chemistry and the Director of Tianjin Key Lab for metal and molecule-based materials chemistry. His current research interests include coordination chemistry, crystal engineering, MOFs, and magnetic materials. He has coauthored over 300 research papers (H-index 48) and received several scientific awards. He is also an editorial Member for the following journals in China, Chin. Sci Bull., Sci in China, Chin. Chem. Lett., Chem. J. Chin. Univ., Chin. J. Inorg. Chem., and Chin. J. Struct. Chem. He is also a Member of the advisory board of Dalton Trans and Curr. Inorg. Chem.
