Martin D. Fox
Martin D. Fox received his B.E.E. degree
from Cornell University in 1969, the
Ph.D. degree from Duke University in 1972,
and the M.D. degree from the School of
Medicine, University of Miami, in 1983. His
1978 paper, “Multiple crossed beam ultrasound
Doppler,” received the Best Paper
Award of the IEEE Transactions on Sonics
and Ultrasonics for that year. He has published
extensively in the areas of medical
imaging and biomedical engineering. He has taught at the University
of Connecticut since 1972, where he is presently a Full Professor
of electrical and computer engineering. His research interests
include ultrasound imaging and Doppler, microcontroller-based
devices, biomedical instrumentation, and multidimensional image
processing.
