Mehran Javanbakht

Mehran Javanbakht was born in Iran, in 1974. He received the M.S. degree from the Tehran University and the Ph.D. degree from the Tarbiat Modares University, Tehran, Iran, in 1999 and 2003, respectively. From 2003 to 2005, M. Javanbakht was a Research Fellow at the Center of Excellence in Electrochemistry, University of Tehran. Since 2006, he works as an Associate Professor at the Department of Chemistry, Amirkabir University of Technology, Tehran, Iran. In addition, he has been working in the field of electrochemical sensors. His main research interests are in the development of electrochemical and optical sensors, with a special focus on the implementation of molecular recognition of environmental and biological analytes. Further topics of his interest are PEM fuel cells, electrochemical studies of mixed metal oxides (MMOs), and molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs). Javanbakht has published over 42 scientific papers and 2 books.
