Hari Shanker Sharma
Hari S. Sharma, a Ph.D. degree holder, is a Professor of neurobiology and works at the Department of Surgical Sciences, Anesthesiology, and Intensive Care Medicine, Uppsala University, Sweden. He is also a Director of Research in CNS injury and repair since 1991 and a Docent in neuroanatomy since 2004. His research interests include neuroprotection and neuroregeneration in relation to blood-brain barrier in health and disease, as well as nanoparticles in neurodegeneration and neuroprotection using nanomedicine. He is working on several current projects such as molecular mechanisms of BBB permeability and cell injury in CNS trauma and neuroprotection, drugs of abuse-induced neurotoxicity, novel peptides and neurotrophic factors in neuroprotection and neuroregeneration against CNS insults, and many other projects.
