Peng He

Procter & Gamble, USA

Peng He was born in Changsha, China, in 1980. He received his B.E. degree in applied chemistry from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China, in 2002. After that, he continued his graduate study in the USA and obtained his M.S. degree in polymer science from The University of Southern Mississippi, Hattiesburg, Miss, USA, in 2005. He received his Ph.D. degree in analytical chemistry from North Carolina State University, Raleigh, NC, USA, in 2009. In 2009, he joined Cornell University as Postdoc Associate and worked at the Department of Biological and Environmental Engineering, Sibley School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Cornell NanoScale Science & Technology Facility, and Nanobiotechnology Center. In 2011, he joined The Procter & Gamble Company as Regulatory Manager in Product Safety and Regulatory Affairs Organization and P&G Chemicals R&D. His current research interest includes biosensors and bioanalytical microsystems, microfluidic devices, bioconjugated polymeric materials, phospholipid-nanomaterial bioconjugates, and semicrystalline polymer nanocomposites. In 2008, he received North Carolina State University Deborah S. Moore Service Award. In 2009, he was the recipient of The First Place of Richard D. Gilbert Award in Polymer Science from North Carolina Section of the American Chemical Society and Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-Financed Students Abroad. In 2012, he received Tony B. Academic Travel Award for Society for Laboratory Automation and Screening 2012. He served as the President of Phi Lambda Upsilon Chapter of National Honorary Chemical Society and the Chair of Student and Early Career Professionals Advisory Committee of Society for Laboratory Automation and Screening in 2008 and 2009.
