Michel A. Reniers
Michel A. Reniers received his Ph.D. degree in computer science from the Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), Eindhoven, NB, The Netherlands. He was a Member of the ITU‐T standardization committee for Message Sequence Charts (Z.120) on behalf of Philips Research Laboratories Eindhoven. After a Postdoc at the Embedded Systems Group at CWI in Amsterdam, he became an Assistant Professor at the Design and Analysis of Systems Group at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science of the Eindhoven University of Technology, in 1999. Starting from August 2010 Reniers moved to the Systems Engineering Group of the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the same university. Currently he serves as a Visiting Researcher within the Machine Control Group of ASML. He is also an Associate Professor at the Model‐Based Engineering of Supervisory Control of the Manufacturing Networks Group of TU/e. His areas of expertise include model‐based engineering, supervisory control, supervisory control synthesis, verification, formal methods, process algebras, and automata theory.
