Jeffrey H. Ruth
Jeffrey H. Ruth received his Ph.D. degree in epidemiologic science at the University of Michigan School of Public Health, Ann Arbor, Mich, USA. My doctoral thesis addressed in vivo type 1 and type 2 cytokine-mediated regulation of interleukin-1 receptor antagonist (IL-1ra), a known inhibitor of IL-1 activity in vivo and in vitro. His current research involves chemokine expression, chemotaxis, animal modeling, signal transduction, adhesion molecule expression, and angiogenesis activity in RA. Our hope is to clearly define the mechanisms that underlie RA pathology and to define and develop promising therapeutic strategies to treat this debilitating disease.
