The University of Electro-Communication, Japan

Dmitrii Kouznetsov received the M.S. degree in 1980 from Moscow State University, with a thesis entitled “Asymptotical estimates in the perturbation theory and the structure of functional integrals,” and the Ph.D. degree in 1988 from Lebedev Physics Institute. He is specialized in optics. During 1980–1993, he was a Researcher at Optics Department, Lebedev Physics Institute. From 1982 to 1999, he was working as an Investigator at Centro de Instrumentos, Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico. In 2000–2004, he was a Research Associate at the Department of Mathematics, University of Arizona. Between 2004 and 2008, he was a Professor/Researcher at the Institute for Laser Sciences, University of Electro-Communications. His main achievements included the proof of quantum stability of optical soliton; theorems on lower limit of quantum noise in nonlinear amplifiers; theorems on the boundary behavior of modes of Dirichlet-Laplacian; and theory of ridged mirrors.
